Olam:Has it got something to hide?

February 23, 2011 at 3:10 pm Leave a comment

Olam just refuted CLSA claims of its financial statements and Nigerian incentives being problematic.

Also,it has just set up a fund to benefit from punting on commodities.

It has a heavy debt, although it says that its debt can be covered easily by the commodities it has in hand. What if commodities price fell drastically due to say normalising of FED interest rates or China property burst? Then,it will be left with insufficient assets to cover liabilities.

Tread carefully!
