This article compares between Germany’s ‘Rhineland model” against America’s “Anglo-Saxon model” and dispel myths of European social welfare system leading to worse economic performance than America’s Darwinian capitalistic system.

Exports,Unemployment rate, prison population, life expectancy, healthcare spending, public transport, leisure time, pollution in Germany is better than America.

Rhineland model emphasizes that corporate organization has to be responsible to workers, thus there is worker’s representation in the board. As the company can’t easily sack workers, it has to train the worker and thus leading to better quality product which is not subject to offshoring or “made in China” low cost competition.

German companies also set the same salary for the same job, thus companies compete on quality, management and service and not on labour costs.
