Is this what SGX chairman should say?

Here’s what SGX chairman, J.Y. Pillay said recently in an investors conference:”not much purpose is served by toiling over obscure points in financial statements, or chiding the board for perceived generosity on executive compensation”

I beg to differ. Obscure points may be hiding critical information to assess a company’s health. If a company’s executive compensation is not appropriate, it may lead to bad behaviour which is detrimental to company’s long term future.
